Dr. Bernd Malmström bol v decemberi 2005 menovaný do dozornej rady a 26. septembera 2006 zvolený za predsedu dozornej rady.Promovaný právnik študoval v Kiele vo Freiburgu. Dr. Malmström pracuje ako advokát.Predtým zastával rôzne vedúce pozície u Deutschen Bahn AG, Stinnes AG, u Schenker-Rhenus-Gruppe a tiež u VEBA AG. Dr. Malmström zastáva mandáty v nasledujúcich podnikoch: BLG Logistics Group AG & Co. KG (Dozorná rada), Deutsche Afrika-Linien GmbH & Co. KG (Dozorná rada), time:matters GmbH (Predseda Dozornej rady), Fraport AG (Dozorná rada do 31. decembra 2009), HHLA Intermodal GmbH (Dozorná rada), K+S AG (Dozorná rada), VTG AG (Dozorná rada), Lehnkering GmbH (Predseda Dozornej rady), Stinnes Corporation, New York (Predseda Dozornej rady do 31. decembra 2010) a Schweizer Bundesbahn SBB AG (Správna rada).
