David S. Russell sa stal v januári 2002 prezidentom IFCO SYSTEMS North Amerika, Inc. (Pallet Management Services und RPC v USA/ servis paletového manžmentu a RPC kontajnery). Do IFCO SYSTEMS North America prišiel v máji 2000 ako senior vicepresident pre nákup a marketing a ako generálny manažér pre servis paletového manažmentu (Pallet Management Services) a pre obchod s RPC kontajnermi v USA.Pred nástupom do IFCO SYSTEMS bol od marca 1999 riaditeľom ako aj prezidentom a generálnym riaditeľom v General Rental, Inc.,v súkromnom podniku Pompano Beach Florida, ktorý sa zaoberá leasingom strojov. Od októbra 1996 do augusta 1998 bol pán Russell vice presidentom/generálnym manažérom Ryder TRS, Inc., v súkromnom podniku so sídlom v Denveri v Colorade, zaoberajúcim sa dlhopismi obdchodovanými na burze. Od r.1982 pracoval na rôznych vedúcich manžérskych pozíciách obchodnej spoločnosti Ryder System, Inc. Táto funkcia skončila v októbri 1996 predajom divízie Consumer Truck Rental.
